Program Pasvik Trail 2012
Wednesday March 28
14.00 The Secretariat opens and stays open until the mushers meeting and 1 hour after the meeting.
21.00 Mushers meeting in the hotel restaurant.
All participants shall be registered before the Mushers meeting.
The restaurant will sell food and drinks during the afternoon and evening.
We encourage as many as possible to get through the scanning of the dogs on Wednesday, having completed the chip list.
Thursday March 29
Secretariat open 10.00 – 13.00
The hotel closes at 17.00
The cars can be driven to the starting area at 10.00 (not before), all teams must be ready for sled checks and chip scanning at 11.00.
Start 13.00
From Førstevann for both classes.
From Thursday around 18.00, we can expect the first teams to the checkpoint Vaggetem.
The cafe at Vaggetem will be open from about 16.00
Friday March 30
From about 2.00 the first teams may be expected to checkpoint Neiden.
The cafe at Neiden will be open day and night.
First team may be expected to finnish at about 15.00
Finnish line will be at Rica hotel Kirkenes.
The hotel will be open from 12.00 serving coffee etc.
Beaf evening 17.00-22.00
Handlers pub 22.00 – 01.30
Saturday March 31
11.00 the Varanger Kraft childrens race will be arranged in the start area of Pasvik Trail.
Age: 7-16 years Distance: 1.5 km Classes: 4-dog, 2-dog, skijoring with 1 dog
Registration on the hotel at 10:30
There will be coffee and light food served in the hotel and outside.
18:00 Price ceremony and banquet.
The Pasvik Trail Committee welcomes everyone to this year's most beautiful adventure, both mushers, handlers, volunteers and spectators.
